07 May 2025

Azerbaijan and China have explored new avenues for collaboration in the fields of the Internet of Things (IoT) and digital economy development.

Fariz Jafarov, Executive Director of the Center for Analysis and Coordination of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4SIM) under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, held a virtual meeting with Xuming He, Founder and Chairman of the World Internet of Things Convention (WIOTC).

The discussion focused on the follow-up to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between 4SIM and WIOTC in Beijing earlier this April. The two sides exchanged views on key topics outlined in the agreement.

During the meeting, both parties discussed organizing joint initiatives, inviting Azerbaijani stakeholders to become WIOTC members, facilitating knowledge and experience sharing in IoT technologies, and exploring broader cooperation in support of digital economic development.
