Launched on April 1, the program aims to enable tens of thousands of users to benefit from Coursera—the world's largest online learning platform—over the course of one year. The overarching goal is to accelerate the country’s transition to a digital economy by developing knowledge and skills in Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and supporting the preparation of skilled specialists for the labor market.
Through the platform, users can access courses and training programs from nearly 350 of the world's most prestigious universities and leading technology companies, including:
-
Universities: Oxford, Stanford, Yale, Duke, London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Michigan, Johns Hopkins, Illinois, Florida, Sydney
-
Technology Companies: Microsoft, Google, Meta, IBM, AWS, Oracle, GitLab, Intel, SAP, Salesforce
Topics available to participants include Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data, data analytics, blockchain and cloud technologies, as well as programming languages, leadership, personal development, and communication skills. Additionally, the 2,500 most popular courses on Coursera are now available with Azerbaijani subtitles generated by AI, making the learning experience even more accessible.
It is worth noting that in 2023, a pilot project under the “4IR Academy” initiative enabled 10,000 individuals to benefit from Coursera courses on a rotating basis over the course of a year. Participants completed over 32,000 hours of coursework, earning a total of 4,200 international certificates. The project won Coursera’s “Outstanding Achievement Award 2024” in the "AI Innovation" category.
